LEO brah here. About 8 years ago I went to a (government) school on suicide bombers/terrorists.


One of the instructors made a comment. "You can have complete freedom and no safety. Or complete safety and no freedom. Most of us live in a world where there is a balance between the two. When a terror attack takes place. People are willing to give up personal freedoms for more restrictions and government control for the sake of safety. After awhile when the threat subsides. People begin to want more freedom in place of safety and security. But when people are scared enough, they'll literally give up anything for their safety."

This guy wasn't trying to infer the government should be in control and everything locked down. He was mainly noting the psychology of people and their response to government actions for their 'safety.' And the fine balance between security & freedom.


Some areas are currently in a model where people are so scared of Covid and are willing to give up nearly all of their freedom's for the sake of their personal safety. Or in the case of their government, they are so concerned about 'safety' and 'beating' covid they are willing to strip their citizens of freedom for their 'safety'.


Thing is, at this point we are beginning to see places with the least amount of government interference doing the best at beating Covid. Natural immunity > all. History is going to remember this period as people that did the right thing and the wrong thing. Lock downs, mask mandates and vaccine mandates are going to be on the wrong side of history.
