Ive never used these delivery apps before. You tip before you get your food? What if the food gets there late/cold/etc?

don't tip crew. they get paid for distance traveled, i pay a fee for their service, and food prices are increased (for no fuking reason).

also, i think most of the apps you have to tip ahead of service, which makes no fukkin sense.

Serves expecting to make six figures a year and these delivery drivers are making me NOT want to use them because they are getting just greedy. It's a gravy job, pick up food, and deliver it, you are paid for it, but it's not enough, they want more, more MORE. Personally I don't want to be in that position. I'm a good tipper, but I swear if I got this it would be the last time. Just seems like eveyone thinks they are so important they deserve to make a lot of money.

Yeah the tipping before seems dumb, but it is what it is. If there is an issue with the food, you can use the "Help" button and complain. Usually they will refund you a few dollars worth of credits for the app depending on the complaint. If you just outright didnt get your food they will give you a full refund in credits or they can also refund your credit card.


The weird part though is i hear people referencing the value of the order vs the tip amount. That doesn't make much sense for tipping a driver. In a sit down restaurant sure, $50 of food means the server probably provided more service than a $20 order of food. But Delivery drivers aren't providing more service based on the amount of food ordered, its still just a bag of food going the same distance. So I always tip based on the distance they have to travel instead of the price of the meal.

Should have changed the tip to $100, went to the door, got the food, and then changed it to $0. People are so entitled these days.

on uber eats you put the tip in ahead of time, but you can update it up to like an hour after the order is there or never comes or w/e. so the tip isn't really locked in or taken from you until you get the food. i've never seen the driver's app ui so i'm not sure if they can see there is a tip attached to the order ahead of time or not, i assume so, but not sure if they know the amount until later when it's locked in.
