I remember when I was a kid all the delis in town (and there used to be a lot of them) you could get like a 6+ foot long sandwich if you called and ordered 24 hours in advance. Then you get this kickass big, long, thick, solid, and tight sandwich and it was amazing. As a matter of fact I remember Subway used to make them, too. Of course this was back when Subway was good, back when they put a generous amount of fixings on the sandwich, back before that gay $5 footlong nonsense. lol they raised the prices but decided to keep skimping on pickles and tomatoes. Just fuk my chit up, Subway. Just lol.

Of course these days a lot of delis aren't around any more, at least not in my area. On top of that the delis that do exist they don't make those 6-8 foot long sandwiches anymore. Instead they will sell you a "party platter"

in every new city I visit, I find the local deli and judge them based on their italian sub.

There are few gems out there left

When will it be mine turn? Every city I check for delis and sandwich shops and it pulls up Subway, Jersey Mikes, Firehouse Subs, etc

Maybe local delis in my area are hiding and I need to use different search terms
