Coinbase is the worst - not only your name but yes verify identity, photo ID/passport, verify your bank if you want to transfer etc.

I use both edge wallet and exodus wallet, completely anonymous but if you use some 3rd party service to interact with your bank then you lose that of course. I accept crypto payments with one of my businesses so I prefer to 'make' crypto by just receiving payments rather than buying crypto as an investment transferring from my bank. Also why I didn't gain in wealth over the past 5 years from crypto

No **** you ****ing moron, and literally every transaction is visible. It's basically a patriot act retards are opting into and helping the database.

If you use anything other than XMR or Eth (eth for certain types of tech) you're retarded

Supposedly it's the same as any checking account, where they have to verify your ID, etc.

You can make as many wallets as you want on metamask, phantom, etc. You can send anonymously from wallet to wallet bud..

That is for the exchange, you can buy the crypto and move it to a wallet. If you really want privacy you can swap your crypto from your wallet to a privacy coin, XMR or ZEC. If you can buy ZEC you could transfer to wallet then transfer to a shielded address. Use a coin swap website so you do not have to use an exchange.

Think for a second how absolutely fukin retarded it would be if it was completely anonymous . Its purpose has always been to be a fukin public ledger not a way to send digital currency for illegal activities.

What do you need anonymity for OP?

They get a warrant, the exchange shares the data with them so they know which wallets you sent your crypto too. Now they can track literally every single one of your transactions. Do you really think they aren't doing that?

Coinbase is trash. If ur inactive on ur account they can leagally take your money in your account and it happens all the time lmao. Your balance legit go to 0 when this happens

They can restrict you at any point in time for nothing(this can last weeks, months or years) and make it to where your money is stuck there

Go on the Coinbase subbreddit and read the horror stories. To actually talk to anyone you have to wait 2 hours and they put you on the phone with some npc who knows nothing lmao and feeds u prerendered lines

pretty much all of the largest centralized exchanges now require KYC with the exception of maybe Kucoin
if you want anonymous then use decentralized exchanges like uniswap or pancakeswap

Which you can't use until you buy Ethereum or Binance Coin...

And then how are you going to withdraw fiat without a centralised exchange?

You know what a VPN is right? I'm not saying its easy but its extremely doable to make your crypto trades untraceable to a certain degree. And no, I don't think they are following you and joe blow right now, maybe in the future for sure but not right now.

Why would you need to withdraw it when they have USDT and BUSD? ETH will continue to make buying anything cheaper on the same timeline as any fiat currency.

The whole fuking reason I did not fuking get in on crypto was cuz I thought it’s all anonymous and all illegal bullchit goes on. I didn’t want anything do do with it.

seems like everything is traceable don’t matter how many websites and transfers and wallets are used. Someone has to own a wallet or an account. Right? Money gets put into a wallet - how?

Can I just go an open a wallet and transfer $1000 cash into the wallet? What if the wallet is stolen? How do I prove that wallet is mine? And I own it?

I don’t fuken get it

Create a wallet on metamask, make password and safe seedphrase. Cash app yourself 1000USD from a friends phone and convert it into BTC, send to wallet, do all this on VPN. ??

It's the same as everything else. An idea comes out that's too good to be true, govt and corporations work together to hijack it, then people keep marketing it as the original idea.

Now it's just like every other currency except less secure. lol

Some very stupid people in this thread. Exchange your coins for monero, monero can’t be traced. Then if you want you exchange monero for another coin.

I just want to know how to make coin gains without getting fuked on taxes.

The process of tracking the gains for IRS reporting seems way too tedious to even risk getting audited by the IRS

Also, convert it to BTC how? What service/exchange to use to convert from cashapp into BTC?

Does coinbase or crypto.com provide a year end report / tax form? Like a brokerage account does?

Big brother needs his cut. I’ve heard if someone is busted for illegal activities they still need to pay taxes on any gains they made doing it!

cashapp itself can convert it to BTC, if you truly wanted to you could use a pre-paid burner phone.
