What was the procedure a couple weeks ago to fix it?
I've had toothaches due to bad infections when they flare up. When I take antibiotics, it pushes the bacteria back to a manageable level by my immune system and the swelling goes dormant again until the next flare up (who knows when they occur, many years later).

Do you remember that scene in Castaway? That's something we'd all do in the same situation. Tooth pain is constant, severe and without treatment you can't get away from it without knocking out the offending tooth.

Holy crap dude, Satan's huge crew.
