My uncle came out as gay last week.

Coles

-Last week my opa died.

-Right after he died my uncle (who we all knew was gay) came out as gay.

-Opa would NOT have approved, so he waited till he passed to do so.

-Now my uncle is bringing his partner to the funeral on Saturday.

-My religious family is not pleased about this.

-personally I don't give a fuk, and hope he is a cool dude.

-I might film the funeral for lulz

-imagine what my family would say if they knew I posted on a gay bodybuilding forum.

Agreed 100% with this. Tell the uncle you don't give a chit if he is gay, but at least have the decency to not make a mockery of your Opa's funeral. Damn imagine waiting 50 years to finally come out of hiding.

To all of those saying its a clown thing and that hes turning the funeral into his coming out party i dont see it that way.

I mean you would want your wife there to support you in your dads funeral right? Why would he have to go though that alone if he has a partner to support him during this rough days. Even more so if he has an unresolved issue that he hid from his dad all his life, that day is gonna be a tough one for him so i hope the rest of the family is not mean to him.

Yeah, nothing wrong with being gay, but obviously didn't come out because he knew Opa wouldn't approve. Just kind of disrespectful IMO to bring his "partner" to the funeral when he couldn't come out while he was alive.
