why are people such *******s

lets say one person is going out of their way to be nice to you and treat you good, and the you still act cold and disinterested toward them. I could never treat somebody like that whether i liked them or not. Subhuman behavior imo

Your misconception is that they owe you some kind of comparable reciprocation of your positive/nice behavior.

They don't.

Would it be nice if they were cordial towards you? Sure. But they're under no obligation to do so.
