Anyone know any COVID doomers irl?
I have family members (vaccinated) and coworkers who still wont go inside a restaurant to eat and refuse to travel on a plane because of COVID. They literally dont leave their house and sit on the couch all day.
It's sad to see. Like seeing a friend peddle you a MLM scheme. I truly don't understand how at this stage you can still be living your life that way. Maybe if you are 80+ blind diabetic or whatever, but all of these people are under 70 and 'relatively' (term used loosely) healthy. They get scared about Delta/Omicron/surging cases in the news and always say 'be safe' when you go do anything.
The vaccine was supposed to free these goobers. Do they not have an end game? Is the rest of their life going to be withering away in a basement? Fortunately all my friends have ignored COVID protocols since day 1, but I cant be the only person to know people like this

Yes, my faith in family and friends has been shattered by their adherence to the branch covidian lifestyle.
I truly have never seen a weaker more overblown response to anything in my lifetime.

I have a sexually-questionable uncle who bought into everything COVID. He wanted to invite the family over to his girlfriend's house for Thanksgiving this year but they both insisted -- and he was heading the charge -- that we all have to be vaccinated, tested, and double masked to be there. We didn't want to spend Thanksgiving with him in the first place so it worked out. lol what a ****.

My entire family got covid at once EXCEPT ME and so I emailed my math professor and told him I'd be staying home from class because I was exposed. THREE weeks later I came back to class and as soon as I walked in he was like "STOP RIGHT THERE! Lets talk outside." this dude stayed like 10 feet away from me as we talked and told me that I didn't wait long enough and I needed to go get tested and wait two more weeks before coming back to class, and thats the story of how I missed 5 weeks of math class even though I never actually got sick.
