How much weight are we talking here?

Maybe your standing press isn’t strict
Best lifts:
Bench press: 315x5
Squat: 465x1
Strict press: 205x5
Deadlift: 405x13 (conv tap'n'go with straps)

so this was at the end of my workout, was going to be my last exercise (4 sets). I loaded up 25's and was thinking it'd be a clean, easy 14 reps. I hit 12 and was like wtf this is mad heavy. Just stayed with that for the next 3 sets and struggled to go over 10 reps. I am lean af (avi), and don't train for strength, so normally numbers aren't really relevant to me.. but this threw me off. Maybe because I always do standing, and never sitting, idk.

I'm pretty sure this is normal? When you're standing you have your entire body as a stabilizing chain of strength. When I do standing OHP my core and legs are tight as fuk and every part of my body is pushing that weight. When you're seated it's more of an isolated shoulder exercise, though I still pushing my legs hard into the ground seated as well.

That stabilization component is exactly why it’s harder. Think of machine bench vs barbell bench, for example.

The fact that so many muscles have to work together to maintain stability means there’s alot of opportunity for “energy leaks” in the kinetic chain. When you’re seated, the bench is doing the job for you.

I see your point but I know it's not the case for me. I'd look at it more like barbell bench vs dumbbell bench. The more muscles you can recruit to move the single weight, the more weight you can move. For instance if I can bench 225x5, there's absolutely no way I could dumbbell press 110x5 in each hand.
