How old is your boy?

I have my oldest (12) doing high reps/low weight bench and squats with me.

This one is 22. He played all sorts of sports growing up, but he just started getting into lifting in the past 4-5 months.

He’s come a long way in a short time.

On one hand, this is very wholesome and I'm glad you're teaching him how to lift. But he's better off working out properly with a hypertrophy split and listening to some sick EDM

You have no idea what either his split or his goals are. But if you saw his before and after pictures, you'd be giving him zero points of advice. Srs.

You're right, I have no idea. But a bit sensitive about your kid, are you? I'm sorry but going by this video, there is no reason to be that srs about it

I don't know what you mean? I was just being factual. I wasn't trying to be rude srs.

Here's what he's done in 4-5 months of training. He's made incredible progress.

Nice. Now all you have to do is post your pictures of your physique to prove your point.

I have to agree that he has made progress. Saying this, not knowing still what his training split or goals are, certainly given the timeframe, this is by no means a complete transformation

Yes, he's nearly a complete beginner, a few months into lifting. As I stated from the beginning.

And in a few months, he's made very good progress and continues to do so, getting stronger and leaner every day.

15 x 225lbs burnout

Strong.

We typically do a 225 set at the end as well.

He is a United States Marine now. He completed basic training a month or so ago and is doing his job training now for the next six months or so about 600 miles from my home gym.

But he'll be home on leave for two weeks over Christmas, so I'm sure he'll lift with us during that time.

I’ll post an update to that in another 3-6 months. He’s motivated and doing all the right things.
