Good stocking stuffers/gifts?

Thinking of just buying everyone a gift basket of deli meats and cheese.

Dude I hate Christmas. Instead of it being about family and celebration, it has become a day where you need to spend money on everyone for sh!tty gifts. I'm frugal with my money, the last thing I want to do is spend it on meaningless materialistic garbage. Was thinking about just sending everyone cards this year. (Ded fkn Srs)

A Christmas letter used to be a thing...tucked in to a card and sent to those on your Christmas card list.

It was actually kind of charming. I think it was more of a thing prior to cheap long distance service and internet.

My grandmother used to get cards with letters from relatives around the country updating her on what had been happening with their family through the past year and of any big plans or events coming up.

I would say if you took the time to write a message to each person and expressed a genuine interest in them while sending sincere wishes for a good holiday that is a gift.

Of course if that isn't what your crowd normally does I would expect some grumbling. If you want to go that way it would be a good idea to tell people in advance that you don't plan to exchange gifts and to please not get a gift for you.

Who are they for? We only do gifts for little kids. Older kids get cash. Stocking stuffers are usually snacks, crayons, stickers, bubbles, you know things for little kids.

Only adults we purchase gifts for are for our parents. Usually a bougie wine gift basket or Omaha Steak box of some sorts along with framed current school pics from the kids.

Last year husband got custom socks with our cat’s face printed over a galaxy background. Lolz for days lol.
