I don't think I've ever taken a death this badly. She was my everything. I took her to work, everything. If she couldn't go, I didn't. No doubt she is in heaven. I never realized how everything I do had her in consideraton and then I find myself doing it and it hits the reset on grief. If it weren't for my young GSD I'd probably check out for good srs. I just want my Sara. If eveyone had a dog like this, the world would be a better place.

This vid, it's when I moved to Dallas, TX and realized home was anywhere she was and how this made me so happy. No matter how rough the day was, it was all better when I had her.

I'd take her to work and would always bring her something for lunch.

Right now I'm both sad and so damn fukin angry. How in the hell do you go through 14 years and now all I have is a box of ashes. Complete BS. Not fair. Fuk this clown world.

I feel the same way about my best friend. Ten years together and all I have is the ashes.

It's not fair. But all we can do is know we did the best to give them a happy life.

I lost my 14 year old boy a few months back. It's truly the most difficult thing I ever had to do. Absolutely devastating and still think about him every day. It ****ing sucks. When my grandpa passed, it was difficult but you could say your good byes and he was prepared. It's a different feeling with my dog because he didnt know what was going on. Dogs do not live long enough. Wishing you peace... I've been there.

I think the best thing to do is keep the ashes and have a tribute site.

I have had several dogs die. Once I couldn't get out of bed for a week and just called off work.

one of my dogs I got some clay and made pawprints and kept a little bit fur and stuff. I commissioned an oil painting of an English Bulldog with a picture of him.

I know this isn't the best advice because I'm still traumatized by it. So maybe remembering your dog is the best way to cope.

One german shepherd I had was the best. He saved another dog's life once and I almost think of him (actually I do) like a father-figure.

btw: share some pics in this thread, might make you feel better, and keep your favorite pictures visible. Like not on your phone but get them printed out at your local CVS or something.
