Rich man/poor man lunch. Rate it. [PIC]
My lunch today. Prime rib and ramen.
What a perfect illustration that your enjoyment of thigs does not come from what they cost!

I can afford to eat whatever I choose. I have over time gained a taste for very good quality meats cooked rare of course. In my household, the meats were such crappy cuts you had to overcook them to make the fall apart. I also like very good quality tuna raw...etc. I eat NOTHING like what I grew up eating. That said, I still like ramen and chicken nuggets.
I think the bigger picture is the idea that cost does not equal enjoyment. The millennial illustration would have been, I could have eaten that off the wing of my lambo. (or the wing on my lotus). Or I can eat it off the hood of my KIA. None of that matters. I like the ramen as much as the prime rib.

Just leftovers. I like it more rare, but I had to cook a 12lb in a rush so the outer cap is done more than I would normally have done. But the cut was excellent. Very enjoyable. Fine marbling and very tender etc. But could have been more rare for sure

I throw out packet and use better than bullion flavoring and balance out sodium with 'no salt' potassium chloride. Cmoore taught me a long time ago to balance sodium and potassium for zero bloat. Miss that guy!
Hope you are well!
