Anyone else No Kids No Marriage Crew?

Everyone I know thinks I'm crazy for not wanting kids of my own. I just recently broke up with my last GF of 3 years and while I told her at the very beginning I told her

"No kids, no ring, if you don't like that then screw"

She was okay with it at face value but after a year she started constantly dropping hints of marriage and I would just walk away when it happened.

I'm not against long term relationships but I don't need a piece of paper and a pompous ceremony to basically change absolutely nothing about the relationship. In addition if things head south it makes everything super messy, usually on the men's end.

As far as kids go...I just don't like them, I will be the first to admit that I'm selfish due to my life growing up and would rather travel or stack my chips rather than take care of kids. I don't have that innate urge to pass along my "name" or whatever.

Anyone not care about these "traditional values"?

I can sympathise with this and understand where you're coming from. However, it's not the reason I'm reluctant to have kids.

It's not even the threat of divorce rape (since kids tend to go hand-in-hand with marriage). That's a secondary factor in my decision-making.

The main reason I don't want to have kids......is that we live in a Clown World. I am struggling to cope with this mess of a society as is. How can I bring someone else into whatever the hell this is and expect them to learn to cope with it?

I am sure as hell not bringing up kids in a world where the government forces experimental chemicals into their body otherwise they lose their basic human rights. Fukking Clown World

I'm honestly on the fence. I'm 35, no kids no wife, but I recently moved and I'm liking my area much better than my old state. Starting a family actually seems like a reasonable idea out here. However I do know that I probably only have a couple years of dating left before I'd rather not do that. Plus I'd want to spend that time with someone to grow to know them and share a roof with them before I make a decision. If I hit 40 and still don't see it happening, I'm just going to stay unmarried and not have any kids.

Managed to avoid marriage for 33 years, thought it was finally time to settle down. Now getting divorced, back to no marriage crew for me.
