Really nothing new as the US shot down a satellite in 2008 which was named Operation Burnt Frost. This came after the US shot down a satellite in the 1980s. The only reason people are paying attention now is that other countries now have the apparent ability to do so as well. But just think what capabilities the US has that the public doesn't know about.

China did the same the year after, so you absolutely know at least the US and China (probably russia too) have satellite killers pointed at anything that is important - if ww3 ever breaks out, it will create a debris cloud that will end up shredding anything in lower orbit and possibly make it impossible to ever leave the earth again.

We spend more on our military budget than China, India, Russia, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Italy, and Australia — combined. When you look at the SR-71 Blackbird, F-117 Nighthawk, the B2 bomber, the F22 Raptor, the Apache Helicopter, that tech is from the 70's-80's and still the countries listed are not on par with it or finally reaching similar capabilities.

I have zero doubt we have some UFO type aircrafts and sci-fi chit that is reserved for doomsday type scenario, simply because we are so far ahead in current known military tech.
