From the video, you can actually tell that the officer couldve have backed away, gotten into his car and he wouldn't have needed to shoot the perp.

Not going to watch because I'm not logging in but I can deduce what happened from the comments. God Bless our brave law enforcement officers. Sounds like this officer waited as long as he could, but had to fulfill his sworn duties which is to SERVE AND PROTECT. That involves eliminating clear threats and using deadly force when needed.
