Last day of work for the year, gtfih for measly reps

Title says it all. Last day of work for the year is today. Got my yearly review yesterday and got a 7% base raise and ~20% bonus that will hit early next year. While I wanted more base, the bonus was a surprise to me. Excited to spend the next 1.5 weeks LDARmaxxing. Spreading whatever reps I got around ITT.

I work autonomously and bill directly for my services and have decided to take next week off completely to be with my family. I usually work a day or two during that xmas-new year week but not this year. Costing me thousands but it's worth it srs.

Gonna chill all day sitting around on my couch, fire going, snow falling outside, imperial stout in hand, more chilling in the fridge, playing with dog in the snow, going hiking, playing guitar, recording music, painting, making holiday feasts, listening to both jazz and thrash metal.

Nothing wrong with a little LDAR'ing. Christmas should be a time for taking it a little easy before hitting the gas in the new year.

Congrats on your bonus. It's good to work in a job where you get such a large bonus. I am lucky to get a 2% in my job. Phuckin weak.

Same bud. I ordered a fresh free range turkey this year. I'm going to pick it up this afternoon. I'm really looking forward to trying that out. Gonna Gordon Ramsaymaxx in here.

Im in the process of moving so the last few weeks have been stressful. Monday Ill be fully moved in but not completely over with the work. I deserve this LDAR lol. As for the raise/bonus, I am lucky for sure, inflation is handing out "pay decreases" all over the place. I hope you find a job that appreciates you more!

Nothing too elaborate. Herb infused butter with lemon spread under the skin all over the breast. Gonna try stuffing it with citrus fruit, onions, and herbs rather than making a stuffing this year. Basting it as I go, covering breast with smoked bacon. Making a gravy from scratch using the runnings and some herbs and dry cider and the bacon and all that. I'm also making a buttercup squash soup on the side. Cake for dessert. I think it'll be good.

I remember these feelings when i was a youngster climbing the corporate ladder. Nice job OP, it seems like you are doing well. Next stage is not relying on some bean counter to figure out how much you will make the next year............

Thanks Brosef. I am looking for alternatives where I would be paid a decent base along with good incentives to produce good work. As much as I would like to start my own company, I dont think I have the experience/contacts/patience to do so yet. However, I am starting to see how it could go if I decided to, so its much less of a mystery now.
