Greatest war movie you have not seen.
Ayla the Daughter of War.
During the Korean war many different countries participated along with the United States. Turkey sent ~35,000 troops.
This movie is the true story of Sergeant Süleyman, one of the soldiers in the sent brigade, who finds a little girl whose mother and father were murdered on the night battlefield. They do not know her real name but call her Ayla, which means halo of light around the moon, because she was found at night and there was supposedly a big ring around the moon at that time. He is unable to adopt her and take her back to Turkey but there is a surprise ending.
Make sure to turn on the captions unless you speak Turkish.
