Just getting over the normal flu that lasted a whole 2 weeks. Fever, sore throat, runny nose, bronchitis like cough, and diarrhea. It started two Fridays ago and I still blow my nose 6 times per day and have slight cough. 15 days of this.

Completely mogs the OG covid I had January 2021. That chit was weak in comparison.

Yeah I have 3 relatives who just tested positive for Covid in the past week. It’s spreading fast but it sounds like Omricon is like a mild cold.

I’ve been in bed sick myself but this feels worse than a cold.

Do we forget all of the commercials during winter for cold and flu medicine in every year pre 2020? Do we forget sloots laughing at men for having 'manflu'? Do we forget the news channels warning of flu epidemics, people dying and chit? Do we forget millions of people yearly had the flu?

The only chit thing about covid is the loss of smell and taste - whatever variant I caught pretty much seared off the cells associated with smell/taste. …it’s actually pretty freaky/interesting that a highly transmissible virus can cause that kind of specific damage on a wide scale.

Why? It is the same symptoms as a winter bug-you just ride it out-take Lemsip, Olbas Oil, Vicks etc, keep warm & it will be gone in a week or so.

Pretty sure I had it 99-100 fever, runny nose, sore throat - but everyone here is completely sold out of the home test kits and it's a holiday weekend, so I can't get an appointment to have someone else shove a swab up my nose until Tuesday. Fever is gone as of this morning, but I'm supposed to be out at a customer site Monday morning and they're pretty anal about the whole covid thing.

Step 1: Announce a new highly contagious variant right before cold/flu season that is coincidentally just like a cold.
