We really strive to not do the big commerical Christmas, but still it's the most awesome feeling seeing your kids smile and enjoy a new toy or a new jacket or something.
I know who I am. And after all these years, there’s a victory in that.

Considering you're a dude, your chances are better at becoming a dad than a mom, but only slightly because you have to stop larping on misc and hide your mental illness long enough to impregnate someone.

christmas morning as a father is peak satisfaction. Beat the boys down in chess on christmas eve as is tradition and then watched them play each other. Got woken up early and plopped on the couch to watch them opening their stuff and playing together all morning with ear to ear smiles. Can't be beat

Our younger daughter is figuring out Santa. She has asked a few good questions like why does Santa look different in everyone's Christmas card & other 'logistical' questions that showed she's onto it without coming right out and saying it. So we went ALL OUT this Christmas because this is the last one that both kids aren't fully aware.

A lot of the magic is gone from their younger years, and quite frankly - its a bummer.
