Filtered water miscers, what do you use? (gay frogs stay out)

So I've been using "Zero Water" filters the past year or so. It makes a big difference, and keeps out a lot of the deposits and other stuff in city water. They seem to work a lot better than the Brita filters I used. The problem is that they're relatively expensive. With my current water, I use one filter about every 2 weeks. 4 filters are $50. At that price, should I just invest in a good home filter setup with spout? Right now I'm a rentcel, so I'd rather have something that can be removed easily. Next year when I look for a house I don't mind something more permanent.

Wat do misc?

Water softener then whole house carbon filtration. For drinking we have a reverse osmosis system with alkanizer/remineralizer.

Sometimes I get those water bottles that have replaceable filters, but they can be a PITA
