Sick beat and I love your voice OP but it's not cutting through the mix very well and makes it hard to hear what you're actually saying. With your voice you should try to do a more melodic style like 2Pac or Nelly. Kinda like you're half singing half rapping. Keep at it!

Thanks brah. I know what you mean. This bassy ass voice is a blessing and a curse lmao. I’ll keep the melodic approach in mind for future music. My vocals have been compared to Chali 2na and his music sometimes combines the two as you’ve said. Perhaps drawing some inspiration from his style is in the cards.

Mix down is the most difficult part for me, my hearing is not the best.

I was listening on $15 earbuds plugged into the jack on my computer. The first time I only had the left one in so I just listened again with both earbuds in and it sounded much better but the vocals still get a little lost when the reverb is added to them. Your beats is great as always and I really like the low fi feel with the record crackles and synth sounds

It's just hard unless you have tons of experience.

I haven't listened so I can't say for sure but based on comment about vocals not cutting through:

Take the final beat and scoop out some of the mid range, gives vocals a place to sit.

Can do it by ear but if you really wanna get precise run the vocals through a visual EQ or a spectrum analyzer to see exactly where you need to remove.

Doesn't have to be perfect, you'll notice a big difference as soon as you reintroduce the vocals with the beat.

If you already did that and it wasn't enough I'd go into individual elements within the beat that are in competing ranges with vocals and start panning.

Don't have to pan much, you can pan so little it's imperceptible yet still makes room for the vocals.
