Caught the virus on Christmas

Exposed 12/25

Symptoms appeared about 36 hours later
12/27: sore throat and foggy brain all day, fever at night up to 102
12/28: fever ranged from 100-102, mild body aches and generally felt like chit
12/29: sore throat worsened but fever let up. Feels like I will be fine in 2 days.

So far it seems like a mild flu. I am not vaccinated and I'm pretty sure it's Delta variant not omicron. The family member I caught it from got it at a work function on Christmas eve and 100% of her coworkers called in sick Monday even though they are all vaccinated and boosted. Just fukkin lmao.

Another important tidbit is we are staying with inlaws who are unvaxxed but had covid 6 months ago. They have been highly exposed and have not caught the virus. Natural immunity is real.

It takes 7-14 days to become symptomatic for Covid with closer to 14 being average

Influenza averages 2-4 days for symptoms to appear

On the off chance it is Covid; you contracted it long before Christmas
