Particularly trying to have qualities you don't have, ie money, looks etc. Putting massive effort into being something your not to get things you wouldn't otherwise get.
Not talking about enhancing the qualities you do have, more so trying to embody something you aren't .

In other words, most of us want others to be average or below them, and for us to be above them - so we are only happy when everybody is below us.
Talk about an unsustainable business model.

Yeah I notice a lot in myself, trying to come across smart so people know that I am smart or trying to come across as the life of the party guy.
And very much with women, being drawn to girls that have very different values and not being interested in the ones who are more on my level.

The average middle class existence today is almost unfathomably prosperous by the yardstick of history. Taxi drivers have iPhones and homes with air conditioning.

no. grandeur is driven by big dreams. if everyone stayed in their lane you wouldn't have a prospering society. it's easy to live a mediocre life where you stay in your pay grade.

In a word, no. Problems are caused by the billionaire/millionaire class being vicious to small children by denying them food. Example: 77 million of food stamp money in mississippi was distributed to millionaires.https://www.wreg.com/news/mississipp...welfare-money/
To me a problem is when a child is in chronic starvation mode. Your definition of "problem" needs some work.

Societal problems are caused by the individual, it's the unhealthy striving for more that I'm talking about.

i bet if we traced that foodstamp money, it would somehow end up trickling down to contributing to the lifestyle of middle to upper class people.

The problem is mass immigration of poor people fukking up the balance for wagecels, and feminism fukking up the male/female dynamic in society.
Quite literally, if most women were stay at home like before, and like most would prefer, people would be much happier. And without the crazy influx of poor immigrants the last 50 years, wagecels would still be able to afford a house and family on a normal salary.
