lol @ everyone taking advantage of Covid policies at work.

Brb work says you need a test in order to come back to work after the holiday break.
Brb no one can find a test so everyone is staying home.
Brb I had a couple of tests on hand and took one (negative, pureblood crew)
Brb only 4/70 people in the office today.
Brb getting work done while others slack.

This whole covid nonsense has made people insufferably more lazy and entitled than they already were. Why go out of your way to serve 20 people like you used to when you're only mandated to serve 3 now? Why work harder than you should?

Juice and soda will cause a false positive on a rapid test should you need more time off.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...d-test-results
Schoolchildren have discovered that applying orange juice to a Covid lateral flow test can generate a fake “positive” result.

The phenomenon – which has been verified through an experiment by the Guardian – is not a result of the juice containing the virus. Rather it appears to be linked to its acidity, which essentially breaks the test. The effect has allegedly also been seen with a number of other foods and drinks including ketchup and Coca-Cola.

One UK science teacher said they were shown the orange juice effect by their students. “They say it’s a great way to get two weeks off school,” they said.

Prof Andrea Sella of University College London said the discovery was not surprising. “If someone deliberately mucks up the protocol then of course you’ll get a duff result. But I would add that it’s not a ‘false positive’ in the true sense. Because false positives are ones that take place in spite of adherence to the protocol.”

Works for both LDAR crew and non-LDAR crew. Make what you want of it I guess.

Tragedy of the commons in full effect. Why do anything? This path only leads to suffering. I refuse to rest on my beliefs and ethics for a convenient excuse to be lazy. As this world gets crazier and crazier, it only confirms and strengthens my beliefs that hard work and some humility is all you need in life to get ahead.
