Don't trust 99% of the organizations who collect the money.

For organizations, 0% chance I will donate to them after how many of those organizations sided with the left.
For homeless people, I changed my stance from giving them money to giving them food - that way, I know where my money went to helping them.

Just drive around with heavy weight down coats, winter waterproof gloves, and hats. The coffee thing keeps stew boiling hot for an hour. Just cruise around and give brahs hot soup and gloves mostly. It’s like 0f out so people gonna lose fingers and die and chit.
I don’t trust actual charity’s
But the amount of people I see who don’t have gloves and just want hot food and are grateful it’s hot is staggering. What the fuk is a homeless dude gonna do with a loaf of frozen bread when he’s worried about losing his fingers?
I would say I’m a 9 at heart but a 3 in practice.

I rarely give money to the homeless but I do every now and then.
I did have a tramp ask me for a small amount of money for some beer. I was happy to help lol

My grade school friend's brother and dad run an orphanage in Cambodia.
I sponsor one of the girls in the orphanage. It seems like a good thing to do, and the dad was my basketball coach from 4-8 grade, so I'm giving back.
Other than that I contribute to charities for my friend's causes...
A former co-worker died from cancer and wanted donations made to St Jude. My cousin was adopted through some charitable organization so I contributed to her fundraiser for the adoption agency. Go-fund me's for people I know who have debilitating disease with outrageous costs - brain cancer, lung transplants... That kind of stuff - I don't seek out charities but if it sounds like a good cause I will contribute.

Def way higher than a 3 in practice! That is awesome you do that.

I'm not sure what I would rate myself for this. I spent many many hours volunteering at a dog shelter several years ago. Donated my time and money/items for the dogs. I also donate to good will whenever I have anything worth donating. I've donated money to charities and to friends go Fund Me's for their pets. I would love to do something similar to what Duckliver does but don't think it would be a good idea as a small woman to go alone to help homeless people.

I feel like a self righteous ass telling the truth but...it's the truth, service is an important part of my life. Probably an 8/9. It's important to me to give both financially and through my time, and it keeps me from being so self-absorbed.

I donated $1000 to my former university department this year. My employer has a 100% charity match, which is cool, and I get to write off 30% of it from my income taxes. So I can give $2000 to the school while only spending $700.
I'm not a charitable person, nor do I have a ton of disposable income, but I am loyal to the people that helped me. That school probably gave me $150,000 total in scholarships across my bachelors and masters. I was a poorcel without a college fund and wouldn't have been able to attend that school without their charity. Now that I have some money of my own, it seems wrong of me to pull up the ladder and not help out other poorcels the way other donors helped out me.
