Started watching yesterday (15 min into first episode).

Any others y’all recommend? Breaking bad? You? HOC?

I’m a fan of: narcos, stranger things, zombie shows, real-life shows like the OJ Simpson one and Selene.

Both Ozark and breaking bad are awesome and similar

OT: is ozark the r-rated sequel to arrested development? Where Michael runs away from his life to start over? Presumably George Michael doesn’t go to the ozarks because he wants to stay in college and work on fakeblock

Yes OP it’s a great show and it gets better throughout as the characters get deeper into their situation, similar to the progression in breaking bad. Season 3 was fantastic and new season comes out in 2 weeks hnggg.

Did you watch The Assassination of Gianni Versace docudrama on Netflix? Pretty good.

Ozark is great.
You might like The White Lotus on HBO. 6 Episodes, acting good, some humor.

Ozark is good.


in the first 20 minutes, the main character is on his knees begging for his life from a drug cartel. it sets up the rest of the show, how he is always in danger of dying while he launders money for the cartel.

It's a great show IMO. I watch pretty much every TV show I can and Ozark is one of the better ones for sure.

Breaking Bad and BCS are a little better IMO. Narcos is more compelling to me, but Ozark is definitely worth watching.

I got as far as the bit when his sloot daughter gets banged on a boat and didn't watch much past that. Just lost interest in its slow pace. I feel that way about most series though, other than Chernobyl, which didn't last long enough to outstay its welcome
