Finally ordered my home gym set up

Was my dream for years. Will order more weight in the next couple of months. Also planning on snagging a Sole treadmill from Marketplace.

Why do you need the pullup bar if you are buying a squat rack? What does the safety strap do?

Looks pretty sweet.

The safety strap is mostly to protect the bar and the equipment for as long as I can. I know things are gonna get dinged up sooner or later, but I want everything to stay in pristine condition as long as possible.

The squat rack is not tall enough for pull ups. I want to mount the pullup bar high enough so that I need to jump to grab it and not have to bend my knees.

Makes sense, my basement's ceiling is about 2 inches taller than my rack, so it's not an option for me.

Looks like a great start! When you say more weight I assume you mean dumbbells, correct? Or at least that would be my next move if I were you. Either way, congrats on bringing your dream to fruition. Sounds like it’ll end up being a great investment.

I was planning on getting some 100/110/120 lbs dumbbells at some point. Plus a set of the adjustable ones that go from like 15-75 (those are not cheap though - might have to look on MP).

Mirin home gym cost. Rogue is great quality and they charge for it.

Ours was pieced together over the past 1.5 years or so from Rogue. Their stuff lasts forever mane.

Also if you hate cardio, like I do, then it’s worth picking up their Echo Bike for HIIT cardio. You can get a hell of a cardio workout in minutes instead of rotting on a treadmill for almost an hour.

Good for you, brother! Home gym rules.

Good equipment lasts more than half a century, mine for over 40 years and never needed to tighten a single nut and bolt.

Just two things to point out.

First, the proper form is to bend knees.

Second, sooner or later, bodyweight pull ups will stop giving you enough progressive overload.

And when you do weighted pull ups, you don't jump to grab the bar for an obvious reason.

Fukin MERLIN brah nice work!

4.5k is less than what I would have guessed from Rogue.

Agreed time for some dumbbells, back extension, slant board, boxes, etc etc I could list a bunch out.

Sole Treadmill is what I have and its durable / good quality so I agree with that purchase.

nice setup except the pull up bar seems kinda poverty. even the cheap pull up tower at my gym has narrow, slanted wide grip and then a parallel grip option

How are the straps? I read they were less annoying than the safety bars
