It's easier than that on PC/laptop. You can just hover over the username and it will show up in the lower left of your screen as the preview link.

It was the ultimate troll IT guy B1gg33k that did the join date changes. Most were to 1969. JeannetteEmigh's was changed to Dec 1987. He also made some mods red, banned some mods temporarily and would mess with BodyPOints, avi's, titles and other stuff.
