Zero luck with women lately... is it really this bad?

Guess I consider myself a gymcel.

Gym about 4-5 times a week, keep to myself, don't try to go out of my way to talk to anyone, or be a perv.

Got a youthful haircut, don't have any wrinkles on face, keep a small beard, also tattooed (sleeve)

I'm 5'9, maybe that's it?

I just get this census that everyone doesn't want to be bothered or even trying to engage in conversation people are annoyed.

Have 7 matches on Tinder so far, no replies.

you have to actively pursue and make things happen. you can't just sit back and expect women to come to you. you have to actively prospect in order to get the sale. and you have to expect and accept rejection as girls today have literally thousands of options right in their pocket.

it's definitely harder than it was 10 years ago. dating apps and social media have made things that much harder. but you have to play the game the way it is - not the way you wish it was.

I've become slightly reclusive but mostly due to work... I definitely have a more laid back approach to talking to women, but also with the gym, I don't chit where I eat.

this. Even unattractive girls and fat girls have TONS of options. Just realize that most 3/10s you see going about your day have floods of dudes 3-5 points above them in looks/status/life hitting them up while you rot.

Good answers here, but there is something that has gone wrong with women since I was a young man in the 90's. They have become defective somehow. Self-destructive. They are broken when it comes to healthy relationships.

It's been slowly happening since the mid 1990's when they could meet us on the internet, which was AOL back then. I met girls off there, and they either just wanted cheap meaningless sex from you, or they wanted to jerk you around and lead you on. I never found a a good girlfriend material from there.

Before then, the girls you were around, would choose you, send clear signals, and then be easy to approach and flirt with. They didn't sht test nearly as much, and if they did, they wanted you to pass. Affections and sex was only for the worthy who put in time and effort with them.

Now they just sort of exist as NPC types who have separated guy they want sex from with guys they want to lead on. Relationships with guys aren't even on their radar.
