Is this grammatically a good sentence?


"Ich trainiere um mich und niemand anderen zu töten würden"

I like the sentence so I wanted to translate it but im not sure if its correct

It's totally wrong and not really understandable anymore what you are trying to say. You wanna say the following?

"I train so noone can kill me or others around me."
"Ich trainiere, damit niemand mich oder andere in meiner Gegenwart umbringen kann."

It's mostly chit, especially with some pairings and texts longer than two sentences, but you really shouldn't be piping up, seeing how you had a single psycho sentence and your first two ideas were to mangle it and then to ask the Misc on how you did.

it's not really grammatically super correct but it will pass easily
these type of sentences often get spoken by natives, not really because they do not know how to speak perfectly, but because they stumble with their thoughts during speech - so they say the negation (verneinung) early, even tho there was a "list" of 2 things that get negated so they don't use the "neither, nor" - similar to when you speak english

IMHO, if you're learning german, i would say just ignore the der/die/das for the most part and try to pick it up later naturally (as much as it's possible)


for example, let's take the word tisch (table) which is masculine (der tisch)

this is how to tell me the table is broken:

der tisch ist kaputt.

however if you would fail the masculine and assume it is a feminine (incorrect) :

die tisch ist kaputt.

-- i would still very easily understand it, sure it sounds off but the main goal with a language is communication and in this case, there was absolutely no issue communicating

you can even go as far as say

"die tisch kaputt" and completely leave out the conjugated form of "sein" (being) so "ist" in this case, i would still understand you

so even if you make a mistake with the article and completely leave out the verb "sein", you will still be 100% understandable to a native speaker
I agree with you to be honest on not really learning the genders at once and completely concentrating on learning them. They should be learned in time so your advice is just a confirmation. Thank you
