I was conflicted with this ending. It was building up to be suggest there’d be further seasons involving Dexter and his son which I could have got behind. But then when he killed Logan, I kinda suddenly disliked Dexter, he was an innocent and didn’t fit the code, he was no better than the people he went after. Then when Dexter got shot, I was disappointed again because that was it. They couldn’t even give us the reunion between Dexter and Batista.

Also, IM injections don’t cause wheal marks. So the bit of evidence the writers decided to have Angela fixated on, was botched.

I love dexter, but please don't tell me instead of Dexter's voice over it's Deb the whole time D'ont do it brother etc etc '

Angela pisses me off. Solving the BHB case with Google then she covering up a murder and lets the killer go.

There are parts of the season I really liked but other parts felt rushed and had some lazy writing with subplots that go nowhere like the billionaire who turned out to be unimportant when the character could have been set up for a season 2 villain.

Yeah wtf was the purpose of the Bautista segment if they didn’t want to keep dexter alive. I have a feeling this was a last second change in the show because they are gonna cancel it so they scrapped it and made what ever the fk they did at the end. Why would dexter kill Logan? It was so random why did he even attack him the start with

This is the only action in the show that made it so Dexter had to be killed off. It painted a clear picture that as much as Dexter tries to contain is dark passenger and use it solely on 'bad' people, he will ultimately fail and therefore he must be killed.

I ultimately thought that Angela would figure out Dexter is the BHB and while browsing for information, she would consume the peppermint bark from Kurt which was poisoned and she would die with that knowledge.

But I do think that it actually ended on a happy note knowing Harrison was not a cold blooded killer that had to bear his dad's torment. Dexter needed to die.

I do wish they would explore the aftermath of the knowledge that Dexter truly was the BHB.

I think they were showing Dexter had gone into a complete manic state. I enjoyed the suspense, but i would have preferred if he didn't kill Logan and smarted his way out of it. I think they just got in a rush. Either way, i can cancel my showtime again.
