Also why would I want to bring someone like me into the universe?

It’s the height of hubris to assume that I am not only worthy of bringing into existence a new consciousness, but also capable of morally raising them to adulthood. The worst feeling imaginable would be to fail at raising my children. That’s not something I would risk.

I can’t even take care of myself. Some people are destined to be alone.
