Anyone have any idea what kind of Sword this is? Is it old? Antique? Real?

Military? I'm just trying to get any additional info I can. It was at a garage sale it's definitely heavy duty, and real. It's sharp. Any information would be GREATLY appreciated.

Looks like a civil war era cavalry officer sword but that's just a guess. I know almost nothing about swords

Cutlass is a little shorter and wider blade I believe. I'm going with a military officer saber.

would not make much sense having a blade that long and that narrow in close combat

this is apparently a "youth" sword - so guess some sort of replica
