Why would a country even let any sort of person with a Chinese background in their government at this point? Not the first and won't be the last time something like this comes up.

This happens way to frequently. It’s unfortunate because I am sure there is a legitimate Chinese person out there wanting to work. Just not sure what can be done without a company or agency discriminating.

yeah I know every country obviously engages in espionage, just seems China is way more active than the rest

Every Chinese person is a spy on some level for the CCP. Every. Single. One.

They have the technology, manpower and control freak nature to track and threaten everyone who comes over.
