How the hell can Duracell guarantee batteries for 10 years?

They last 6-8 months tops.

TV remotes
Flashlights
kids toys
smoke detectors

Constantly being replaced.

Anyone ever return dead ones to the stores or attempt to submit a claim for replacements? Probably not enough outcry for anyone to really care. Its the 10 year claim that rubs me wrong.

This, it's for shelflife. If batteries lasted for 10 years, which they probably have the technology for. These companies wouldn't be able to stay afloat. (Ded fkn Srs)

I don't think OP could be dumb enough to think that the battery could always last 10 years despite how fast its being drained. Let's give him a chance to explain himself before we just assume he thinks they invented little AA cells that hold more energy than a tank of gas.

Duracell’s are the most leak prone batteries made. Amazon brand seems okay
I get a tax deduction just by hanging out here
