My Daughter discovered Jersey Shore on Hulu and we have been watching and laughing

She decided to have a little fun at my expense. I had to laugh at this.

Anyway, funny to watch that stuff years later. Having kids can be fun at times. Never thought I would watching JS reruns with my daughter some day.

Posted them before. Very pretty girl, and smart as hell. Genius so no dumb fuk guys are going to hold her attention. I set the bar pretty high as an example of how a woman should be treated with my wife. She will make someone a fantastic wife / mom someday. We have a very traditional family and even though she is more than smart enough for med school, she wants to be a nurse so she can have the flexibility in her career to be a full time mom.

There still are those girls out there. Look to their families and especially their mom's for the type of wife/month they will become.

Oh yea, she has been training about a year also. Pretty athletic girl! Makes a dad proud.

Other than that...no advice.

Be nice! Dont make me lose my faith in the Misc.

Yea. My wife has always been a pretty girl. But she is crazy modest We were actually high school boy friend and girl friend. We were each others first. We dated till I was a sophomore in college and then broke up for some years and found our way back to each other. Never did I ever feel the way I do about my wife with any other girl I was a typical dik. But when you are with someone you truly love, you subjugate your happiness for theirs. And if they do the same, it is pretty incredible.

Never thought it could be this way, but when we got back together, it was like being 16 all over again. I am almost 50 and still head over heels for this girl. And she totally deserves it. I made quite a bit of money early in our marriage and neglected her and her needs. I am lucky she did not leave me as I see now, that chasing 'MOAR' is a viscous cycle. There has to be a balance. So I live a very balanced life. Lucky enough to have some nice 'stuff', but not the source of my true happiness.


Because I cant help but brag on my wife. I snapped this of her and I napping on the couch. No filters, no makeup. Just a naturally pretty girl. I got a dumb sh!t eating grin too. Life is good.

I remember casually watching some jersey shore back in college when my then-girlfriend would put it on. I remember hating it back then because I think I just hated the people in it--but now I kind of want to go back and rewatch the whole series and just appreciate the lolz.


OP--I'm glad you support your daughter's career goals, but there's no reason she can't be a doctor and a mom. If she can get through med school then she's leaving a lot of money on the table by going the nursing route. Plenty of doctors get LOTS of time off to spend on the golf course or on vacation, so there's no reason to think she can't do that and be a good mom too.

Thanks man. The MISC has some bright spots for sure. I made so many mistakes through my life. I like to share stuff with younger guys (who are willing to listen). I have a few younger guys in the car group that I kind of unofficially 'life coach'. I did not have a role model. My dad was a great father but terrible husband. Constantly verbally abusive. Me and my wife and daughter have been binge watching at night laughing our a$$ of. I went to school with a bunch of Jersey / Long Island people so it is just too easy to laugh. Totally mindless, but fun!

I think my daughter wants to start a family before she would ever be out of med school. She tries to plan too much stuff. But I am letting her pursue her passions. I think I will have done well enough in life that my kids wont have to worry about money. But they need to be worthy of the generosity. Neither one of my kids have any 'name brand' stuff. We are not wired like that as a family. It is cool that we can have stuff, but my kids know the place that is has. I have a lambo, but I also have a Kia. I dont care about names. I just like what I like and I am not defined by 'stuff'.

Hard to raise a family in this day and age. I encourage my kids to think for themselves and not be manipulated. The will have a tough time with the very liberal world, but I feel confident they are their own people and will hold the beliefs that are important to them. Will be cool because my daughter can now vote. Will be fun to have some conversations. I have always explained politics to my kids and how it affects their lives.

I am self employed and been so since 23. Needless to say, I prefer to be responsible for myself and my family. Do whatever you want, but dont push your views on me.

I have also posted some threads about cars and stuff. Another passion of mine I share with my son. I am just me. Totally a normal dude. Took my lumps in life, learned lessons and am a better man for it. Lucky enough to enjoy some cool stuff, but it does not define me.

100% mate. It's more important to keep family values more than ever especially in this day & age. It's getting crazy out there.
