Best way to actually get good concert tickets.

Just found out one of my bucket list bands is coming through town this summer. Tickets go on sale Friday morning.

Knowing that bots and scalpers have a way to get all the decent tickets, is there any way to make sure I get decent ones at face value, or am I better off just waiting and getting them from scalpers anyway? Any advice appreciated.

Planting on the keyboard has never worked for me in the past.

Always try at the on sale time but if you don’t get good seats you’re happy with, don’t buy them.

I’ve had lots of success with big bands by waiting until days before the actual show and then keep checking Ticketmaster. Brokers/ companies/ bands will dump tickets back into the system they couldn’t sell/ don’t need that we’re held. These are usually prime seats too.

Yea that's what I do with concerts and games. I'm going to Bucs vs Rams Sunday and I check Ticketmaster every couple hours, they're dropped 30% in the last 36 hours alone. I'll wait till Friday unless I can get a steal.

Ticketmaster's 26% charge for fees is ridiculous though. But it's lower than StubHub and the others.
