US government moves to end daily COVID-19 death reporting by hospitals

This, to me, was the biggest sign that the government and system as we know it are ready to move on from COVID. At first glance it almost looks like an admission of defeat, but I'm inclined to think otherwise. The link to the article below is one of the only sources of reporting I could find on the subject, and I think that was done purposefully. The less press, the better. A series of these quiet pullbacks are underway. They have achieved the level of control over industry, private business, and social affairs that they aimed for, and it's time to continue onto the next gay-op.

It amazes me constantly (at least here in Canada) that people didn't realize hospitals and ICUs were full all the time before COVID and people actually died every winter, especially the elderly.

Deaths are heading downward from here on. The majority of deaths this month have still been the obese and very old infected by Delta variant last month. Just have vaccines and antibodies for those who want them. And the alpha vaccine needs to cease production, and send the vials over seas.

We can make an omicron vaccine for old people who never got the virus, and anyone else who is scared.

Midterms in November. In the US, at least, victory over covid will be declared by the beginning of the summer. It will be a central pillar of Biden and the Dem's election strategy.

They might bring it back after midterms, but if they don't it will certainly be strange living in Canada where they are never going to end Covid restrictions once America is acting like it never existed.

Yup. The people who brag about our healthcare system have never been inside one of our emergency rooms.

They've always been a total under-staffed chit show with legitimately sick and injured people having to wait hours on end while the staff deal with the nightly flood of junkies OD'ing and trying to get prescribed opiates.

It's mind blowing how much they're clinging to it now.

60 people died in the hospital. They don't say of what, as it takes them months to determine what killed them; but 55/60 are 80+. If you bring that up, they get upset that you don't take about people.

Unfortunately, elderly will die. We will be the same in those years also. Most of them want to enjoy their life before it's all over. If you ask them, isolating them hurts more.

The biggest issue is everyone goes there for everything. If people would just treat most of their issues at home, we would have less backlog. Then they will say things like "it's for us to use, so I will use it." You're effectively congesting hospitals for no reason doing that.

The biggest issue is junkies. Literally half of the people in the ER are junkies complaining about made up injuries trying to get prescribed opiates.

That gets broken up every hour or so by some junky dragging another junky in during a ******** OD and completely skipping the line.
