My father-in-law invited my wife and I to dinner tonight and I explained that despite my being double vaccinated (my wife was diagnosed with cancer in 2019), I have refused to show a vax passport since they were introduced here (late 2020).

We got into a very minor disagreement about it before his wife (who is based) told him to drop it.

Yes, I can be vaccinated and still be against vaccine mandates because I actually believe in the freedoms my two grandfathers, who I never had the privilege to meet, went off to fight for in the 1940s.

My mom already had covid atleast once. She was fine. She has a history of blood clots and there is a family history of heart disease (but not her so far). It would be fuking stupid for her to be vaccinated against a respiratory disease she already had. The current mutations are weaker than the OG variant she had with no problems and no medical treatment required.

Its really incredibly simple. the risk profiles of the vaccines and virus are different. You could have minimal risk factors for actual covid but have risk factors for the vaccine. Programmed robots are too fuking gone to see this. Nobody should be coerced to take a vaccine they dont need. Those are policies of authoritarianism.
