Keto Brahs, What Do You Eat? (Need ideas)
Been doing If for about 8 months now but I hear that keto+ IF is the ultimate diet for health, preventing disease, cancer, inflammation etc.
Been sick for a year and trying out anything I can.
Also did keto years ago but could have done it better.
From what I hear, you dont want to hit more than 20g of carb per day or you wont be in ketosis and youre wasting your time
so what do you eat exactly? seems like even nut butters/ nuts have carbs in it. milk has 13g of carb per cup
even broccoli has some in it.
what are the best things to eat?
eggs, bacon, spinach, peppers, heavy creams, what kind of cheeses?, meats, whey
and how long do you do it? I used to do refeed days every few weeks. The "drs" on youtube dont mention anything about that. pretty sure eventually youd need carbs.
what do? srs

Lots of avocado, eggs, and cheese when I did it. 9/15 Intermittent fasting with keto and dropped 30 lbs in 3 months, gained back 10, continued IF and controlled intake and dropped another 5.
Keto is not supposed to be sustainable, it's a great way to lose fat fast but some muscle mass goes with it and you gotta have good control coming off it cause you will gain it all back.

Low carb is a great way for people with sheit insulin to control hunger and have steady energy levels, great skin, and good mood.
I would recommend weekly or 2x per week carb ups thou, or your cawk may stop working and you become flat in the muscles as well, low fat on those high carb days, but protein stays high always at at least 1g/lb, but for me 1.5g/lb clearly provides better recovery, more leanness, and better hunger control.
You can also do low carb until the evening, then a serving of fruit and a serving of oats with evening meal so you can sleep well. Most people sleep poorly on low carb.
You may need carbs around your workout thou, if you notice a drop in strength on low carb.
Make sure to get a strong electrolyte supplement with lots of salt, potassium, calcium and magnesium. This is very important on low carb. I use “fuel flyby” electrolyte powder when low carbing.
Eating is super easy, dead animals and green leafs. Not complicated.
Avoid dairy, bread, and caffeine, these things give people allergies and poor digestion. Chances are good that nuts and starch make you fart and fat, so… avoid that nonsense also, besides, steak tastes better. Why eat garbage?

Not a fan of keto. OP look into carb cycling, it's the GOAT way to get shredded. Some days you have low carbs and high fats, some days you have high carbs low fats. Makes the diet more fun, and helps you manipulate your body, so it doesn't simply adjust to a calorie deficiency. (Ded fkn Srs)

i'm also a little concerned about this -
Stomach cancer rates are high in parts of Asia, especially Korea, and studies do indeed suggest that at least part of the reason may be all the kimchi, miso, and pickled fish people eat in that part of the world. Those foods contain N-nitroso compounds, which are likely carcinogens.

The refeed is most use full right before a good workout, you eat enough to break the 20g limit to get some glycogen n then burn off the residua by controlling what you eat in the next meal. Get some keto piss strips or the handheld breathylizer thing so you can keep track of your levels and adjust what you eat.
Also don't do keto for more than a few months and take 1-1.5 years before you do it again.
