When women undergo breakups, do they ever be the 1st to contact guys?

I imagine the answer is yes, but for how long? Women aren't gonna re-contact a guy they haven't msg'd in years right, maybe weeks or months? But this implies she been in msging with single guys while in a relationship, so does anyone have any stories where they were msg'd by a girl and found out it's cuz she just went through a breakup?

Well, I kinda wanna push back the question to, not cases where girls openly have a ******** where their status changes to "single" and now all her friends no about it. So this could be questioned to girls without that type of environment..
