Online Sports Betting
This just became legal in my state, there's a bunch of ads like "New users bet 1st 1k risk free!"
Gambling is not one of my many and varied vices. I'm thinking of creating the accounts and doing these free one time bets then just closing the accounts.
Again - I'm not a gambler but this seems like some easy money.
thoughts?

lmao you can't open multiple accounts on one site you'll get banned and won't get paid the bets even if you win. also sports betting has been legal across the nation for around 2 years.

What havoc said. I’m hooked now and it’s mentally so draining. Up and downs that cause wild mood swings. I bet way more than I should. If you have supreme self-control, then maybe you can try. There are rollover requirements for the bonuses so you have to bet like 5x the bonus amount or something before you can cash out.

I enjoy it. I follow basketball pretty closely and have managed to make a profit so far in the season, but it's still barely anything. I have days where I pick every game right and days where I pick every single game wrong. Just having fun with it though.

I'm just asking that since these first bets are free and there's like 6 of them, should I go all in and do the free 1st bets? It looks maybe 2 grand easy with them betting I'll get addicted to gambling.

Just bet with Bookmaker. Them and Pinnacle are the 2 long standing shops since the 90s that have seen all the others come and go. They've never cheated anybody that I know of. If either ever did, or somehow folded up I would be shocked. The Greek got busted for going back and forth from Jamaica to NH. Otherwise there would be 3 mega offshore books to gamble with.

Keopka, there was a short period of time at the start of your tenure on the forum where you looked like you could be a quality poster.
Now you are looked upon as a donkey. In the same group as the mentally ill.
You don't bet 5K / Day.
You do:
Spam the same threads on this forum hourly.
Make threads about those threads begging for bumps.
Threads also regarding your mental illness.
Anyways, Op - you seem like you should be alright with the gambling, The problem you are going to find you run into, Is the stipulations behind the offer the sports book is promoting.

i started by joining online casinos and just doing the free daily spins, i was signed up to about 8 different sites and usually id win a couple $$ on atleast 1 of them for free.
then id start to just put a little money on & play, before you know it i was hooked for 2 years of hell. every bit of money i had i spent gambling. the free bets are how they hook you, id say to forget about it and never start. gambling addiction is horrible and you dont realise youre an addict untill its too late.

But if you have to do a 1k bet, do your research first. Sometimes even the worst team can beat the best team.

In Australia, all gambling wins are tax free, regardless of the size.
So In America, if two teams were playing with a 50/50 outcome and both teams 2/1 odds (not including houses stake), you would either lose your money, or make only 1.6 times your stake for a 50/50 outcome. Just lol, why bother.

I did it for fun years ago, just bet between $1 and $5 every sunday on ufc parlays for lulz and to make it more exciting. I did extra large parlays only so like 8-11 fights so the wins would have been up to tens of thousands just from betting $1. Never won anything but the excitement was there and it was better than spending $20 on beers.
Gambling sucks for addictive personalities though so be careful.
