I used to spew this nonsense aswell but some people are way more carb/insulin sensitive than others and some people do amazing on a keto diet

I think nattys can benefit from low carb where as on gear your body can partition nutrients better

I do it to keep my calories in check... find if i make things black and white its easier for me to maintain and eliminate all the junk food.
