When is it truly time to talk to my doc about my hormone levels? 36yrs old

Ill try not to go too much in detail so here are some high level things that I'm noticing. (I posed in the 35 & Up section, but that's even slower than the Misc)

-Not waking up with morning wood....In all honesty I haven't really had a bonrar in almost 2 weeks and its been like this for about a year.
-Very limited libido, like actually wanting (not even really having the drive to initiate) sex once every 10 days-2 weeks....for about the last year or so.
-Decreased strength, with no real change in eating/working out habits. Kind of hard to explain but I feel like going to the gym hurts me more than it benefits. Almost like every workout is slightly worse/more trying than the last.
-Eating very well and working out like I have been for the last 10 years, but seeing no positive change and I would even say that I'm struggling to just maintain. Last time I was this weight ...245lbs @ 6'6" I was benching 100lbs more and was 10% bf.....now I'm around 16% and just flat out weak.

I know there are an infinite amount of variables that can play into this .....I just don't want to confuse stressed out "not eating right" or "lack of sleep" or "overtraining" with a potentially larger issue with hormones or vice versa....and I also dont want to jump the gun and have my doc think I'm trying to push for something I don't need yet.

I had my levels checked when I was 31 and started experiencing some of these things (on and off) and my TT came back at 798. Up until that point (when I started to notice real changes) I was a "good for sex at least once/day" and "lets duck off to the bathroom for a quicky in public" kind of guy.......those thoughts dont even cross my mind anymore.

In/with your experience.....what should I do?

Reps for solid advise. Thanks.

If you think you're having hormone issues, then there's no time like the present...

You barely start to lose 1% per year starting at 30, you’re 36 now so that’s should be about 6%. Check with your doc if you want but there’s so many other things that can cause a lowered sex drive. Depression, over working, thyroid, vitamin deficiencies. At 36 you shouldn’t be having low T imo.

Get your T checked again. An out of pocket test is under $100. The problem with docs is finding one who's actually willing to prescribe TRT. Even if you have the test of an 80 year old you could still fall within the "normal" range and be refused.

Honestly you should get several tests done. Full metabolic, CBC, Vitamin D, thyroid.

Do not lift weights more than three or maximum four times per week, make sure you’re out of the gym in one hour max, do the upper lower split, make sure you don’t squat or do the same body part three times a week, make sure your diet is around 3000 cal to start and start with a zone diet idea, about 250 g protein 250 g carbs and about 100 g fat, stop all drugs medications, make sure to take a multi and extra vitamin D zinc fish oil and probiotic, sleep at least eight hours,

Success guaranteed.

I wouldn't put an 'age' number on this if you are not feeling well. I tell everyone to have bloodwork done when you feel good. That way you have a baseline to fall back on later down the road to compare to.

There are several hormones that can make you feel bad. You can have high test levels and still feel horrible if your E2 (Estradiol) levels are off. A lot of variables at play here. Do you take zinc by chance? For me zinc can lower my estradiol levels too low if I take it everyday. That leads to me feeling horrible at times. Are you taking anything like test boosters?

If you do decide to get bloodwork done, make sure that you have them order the right tests. When it comes to measuring Estradiol, make sure that you specify that they order it at the sensitive assay level. As far as what to have them test, Google is your friend.

Figured someone would point out that I in fact did kind of go into detail.

Yep, I know.

The real reason for my hesitancy is that I have chit insurance through my employer and while I dont even think twice about dropping $2k on my project car, last time I had my bloods drawn it was $800 and though I make good money, Im stingy when it comes to spending money like that. lol

In all honesty it's probably a mix of many things, low T not being one of them.

Thanks. Yea, that's in my mind too.....If I do indeed need it, finding a doc who will actually prescribe it.

Currently lifting (as heavy as I can on a Push/Pull Split) 2x week with cardio 1-2x/week. I take a multi, ZMA, D3, C, I'm getting plenty of protein and fat, carbs might be a little low and I DEFINITELY don't get 8 hrs of sleep. On a good night, ill get 5 uninterrupted. Usually in bed by 930, asleep by 10, usually wake up around 2-3am, back asleep around 3-4 alarm goes off at 6.
