Rate non-traditional jambalaya but technically in the category of jambalaya/10
Been a while since I did one of these late night (kinda) cooking showings so, here we go
Wanted to make jambalaya and I had some ingredients from an Indian dish I was going to make, but never did.
Be forewarned, this dish doesn't have shrimp, I have no money and shrimp is expensive so this dish doesn't have shrimp.
Seasonings/liquid mixtures:

✂ Sriracha salt
✂ Tony Chachere's Cajun seasoning
✂ Garlic salt
✂ Onion powder
✂ Paprika
✂ File powder
✂ Worcestershire sauce
✂ Chicken broth
✂ Parsley flakes (kind of as a garnish at the end)
First, I cut some celery and one red bell pepper, along with some cooked chicken sausage in sheep casing.

Then, I did a crazy fancy sauté! I used olive oil instead of peanut oil because I had none.

While the herbs and sausage were browning, I got halved tomatoes, basmati rice and a 2:1 mixture of Fava beans and black beans, with lemon juice.

I heated up a large pot and added the browned veggies to blacken them some more. The sausage got a good crisp to it.
Then, I added the beans, tomatoes and all the seasonings, chicken broth and sauces, except for the parsley flakes. Stirred for about a minute then added the rice and brought that homie to a boil, then to a simmer after about three minutes.
Added this cool hot sauce (just a little, it was already spicy) towards the end of the cooking process, then turned off the heat and let the rice absorb more of the water. This took maybe half an hour. Jambalaya takes some prep work but I do enjoy the therapeutic process of chopping and cutting meat, with jazz in the background... no wine though.

I'll make some cheddar biscuits with this next timeSup Jazzbrah
