socialism and capitalism have the same exact pros and the same exact cons.

Only difference is one, the government oppresses the population directly. The other, the government oppresses the population on behalf of the companies that sponsor it.

Capitalism is good at the beginning of developing a nation as resources are abundant but when we get to the end stage of capitalism it really sucks as housing & wealth is concentrated on people who got in early.


This is coming from someone who used to see capitalism as a great tool in advancing technology as it fosters competition. But I'm finally opening my eyes to the inequality of end stage capitalism. And I'm not sure how you can really fix it.

You're referring to crony capitalism or corruption.

The government should be there to prevent monopolies and enforce fair competition.

Unfortunately the government doesn't know how to not grow, so you end up with corruption and cronyism. Case in point: CVS. They legit own one of the largest insurance companies on the planet, force you to use their pharmacies, and set the prices. The problems you speak of are from the democrat/leftist/communist/lazy pussy agenda. The damndest thing happens in a capitalist society, if you want more money all you have to do is work more while expanding your skill set. You sound like one of those burger flippers that want to make a wage that will allow you to have your own house, your own car and plenty of disposable income while providing the very lowest of the lowest level of service to society.

You don't have to go that extreme. You just need to even the playing field for those who aren't born into wealth. It's fuked that some people are born into inheriting a home and never have to worry about the biggest expense in their life while others are told to pick themselves up by the bootstraps and spend 40 years wageslaving to afford a home while the other dude doesn't have to work a day to own a home.

Communism is better for the majority. However, it works best with capitalism as the minority. You'd want to support small businesses and incentivize them to keep working in their craft. Pure communism doesn't inspire innovation.
