I've never seen the US go after Russia in such an aggressive way. I really think we're underestimating them. They're not the same weak country they were back in the early 90s. Either that or maybe we've got something up the sleeve that gives us some false sense of confidence.

The average age of U.S. Senators is currently 64 and the average age of U.S. House members is 58. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is 81 and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is 71.

As for Nukes, Russia lighting the nuclear candle, even a tactical battlefield nuke, would be the biggest propaganda f'up of all time. Not retaliating in kind would give the west all sorts of leverage to demand the heads of the Russian crime family on a platter (literally).

Anyone who thinks Russia can be confined to its post-USSR borders is a genuine idiot.

I wish some other country would just nuke them both while they're focused on each other and every time they come back to the Ukrainian russian border, just hit em again

By your logic that is justification enough for invasion.

nato have stronger non-nuclear forces but it doesnt matter when 1000's nuclear warheads ready to go.doubt that nato will have balls to do anything when putin invades because they want missiles on russian border.
also might be stunt by joint forces of nato and russia to boost economy via military spendings.
