Elden Ring will HANDILY be Froms best game says Game Informer reviewer

...if the 10 hours he played is indicative of the game as a whole.

Said Bloodborne is his current favorite game of all time.

only when it's convenient to say so, and the review consensus is the opposite of how they feel about the game.

That's like someone saying mortal kombat 11 is my favorite game of all time, mk, 12 is going to be the best one ever.

Maybe the dudes just a little biased?

That logic doesn't track amigo. People hate sequels to games all the time, whether they take too many risks (TLOU2) or don't take any risks (Far Cry 6).

To take a beloved formula like Souls and have it drop into an open world could have been a disaster.

You beat Defiled chalice yet? The true guardian of the platinum trophy lol.

The final chalice boss is tee ball compared to ****ing watchdog and amygdala at 50% health bar.

For real. The first time I beat defiled Amy it took me so many tries I nearly went hollow. The only hard boss in the final chalice is the one that throws the shotels through walls

The problem with Dark souls 2 and 3 is that they were too linear, especially 3.

They really didn't have that Metroidvania aspect that 1 had. Bloodborne brought that back a little bit, but the random dungeons as end game was boring game design.

With open world, I would absolutely expect it will have some Metroidvania aspects to it, tons of secrets, which is what From's best game, Dark Souls 1, did. If it does it better than DS1,then it will be From's best game.

I'm actually on the watch dog now. I can get him down to the last 20% then he gets me with his jump. Might bust out the beast blood pellets with my evelyn lol

I'm really struggling on the lower loran darkbeast which is an absolute bish. I also have Embritis to beat too but it doesn't seem bad. I almost beat it first try but the lasers zapped me.

I had enough ritual material saved up so I've been bouncing around the tougher dungeons for farming purposes.

The loran abhorrent beast gave me PTSD. I ended up just throwing poison knives at him and running around the arena for like an hour. I could not land a hit on that mfer.

Maria - no prob
Orphan - shat on
Defiled Amy - died for 4 hours straight lol. Went to bed fuming that night.

Also on topic. I’m excited for Elden Ring. Always a good day when FS releases. My two favorite are DS1 and BB tho. DS3 was a bit uninspired to me and Sekiro I didn’t fall in love with

That might be true in new game+ but in a brand new game because of the power levels between the areas, there is a specific path players are almost required to take.

So literally no different from DS1.

Abhorrent Beast is a tough one. That punch move is so fast and has crazy range. Also he pursues so hard it's tough to get time to heal. If you're running a bloodtinge build he's easier since you can just bone marrow ash and kite but its still tough

I suspect when all is said and done a few hardcore Soulsborne veterans won't be too happy... but it will appeal to a broader audience and be more successful.

They've said there are some optional DLC-difficulty tier bosses hiding in it, so it sounds like there are some absolute mother fukkers waiting to challenge us large dicked bros.
