How do you cope with the fact that strangers in public want nothing to do with you?

How do you guys deal with strangers not wanting to be a part of your life?
It could be anyone. The people you see walking in public, the people at the gym, your taxi driver, hairdresser, cashier, people in supermarkets etc.

There are all these people, and they will not be a part of your life. They don't care about you or want to be friends with you or even talk to you.

Lance's threads are almost always focused on his loneliness and lack of social interaction.

This is basically how it is for everyone Lance. (Most) People have their own smallish circle of family and friends, and everyone else (99.999.........%) is just a stranger who gets ignored.

So when you are out in busy places you get ignored too right? How does it make you feel? I keep telling myself i will get used to it and not let it bother me but i always fail. I guess for me the problem is more internal and my mindset.

Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Eleanor Rigby
Picks up the rice in the church where a wedding has been
Lives in a dream
Waits at the window
Wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door
Who is it for?
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
Father McKenzie
Writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear
No one comes near
Look at him working
Darning his socks in the night when there's nobody there
What does he care?
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Eleanor Rigby
Died in the church and was buried along with her name
Nobody came
Father McKenzie
Wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from the grave
No one was saved
All the lonely people (ah, look at all the lonely people)
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people (ah, look at all the lonely people)
Where do they all belong?

Yes, I get ignored. It doesn't make me feel anything. Everyone is just going about their daily business.

I would 100 times rather be ignored than have people I don't know or like harassing me and following me around trying to be chummy.

“It's the sense of touch. In any real city, you walk, you know? You brush past people, people bump into you. In L.A., nobody touches you. We're always behind this metal and glass. I think we miss that touch so much, that we crash into each other, just so we can feel something.”

A good 80-90% of people out there are morons, Lance, and you wouldn't want to talk to them beyond a simple greeting unless you want to hear them drone on about some social media thing or a TV show written and directed by a group of people with a collective IQ under 100. Only a very small subset of people are compatible with yourself, and FWIW those 80-90% of people who aren't probably also think I'm a moron who drones on about **** they don't care about.

Next time your buying food start a conversation with the cashier or bag person and find out the above first hand. Yesterday I had some bag boy obviously in his mid 20s telling me about how he hates the super bowl but used to play football as a kid, he wasn't very good though. His mom doesn't like the super bowl either. Imagine if everywhere you go you were constantly hearing that kind of wonderful information, you'd blow your brains out in a week.

I am not sure about percentages, but I am certain theres hundreds/thousands that are worth being friends with. Even if its 1 percent of the population worth meeting thats still a pretty huge number of decent friends i am missing out on

But yes i agree, theres lots that you probably do not want to meet

I never really thought about it.

Considering strangers want nothing to do with stranger's lives, and seeing as how I am a stranger, I don't want anything to do with anyone else's lives.

Wanting them to want me to be a part of their life would be me wanting to them to be a part of my life, which I do not want or care about. As previously stated.

how do u deal with the fact there is probably 1 billion+ people that haven't even met you but would prefer you to be dead at any point in time?

You have a specific religious belief or no belief at all? - cool, there's hundreds of millions extremists that want you dead.
You happen to be white, brown, black or asian? - cool, there's hundreds of millions that will want you included in a racial genocide.
You happen to have values that lean libertarian / authoritatrian / woke? - cool, there's hundreds of millions that would press a button to kill you if they could.

Dont you ever see people out in public and wish you could be friends or hang out with them?

Reasons could include: more fun in life, less loneliness, better support system, sense of belonging

I gotta be honest with you I don't have many friends but I don't really think like that. When I'm in the gym I'll talk to some people a bit just to be social but I mostly try to get done as quick as possible. I love going when there is no one there.

How about when out in public like on the streets. When you see random strangers out and about walking around. What are your thoughts then

I have thought of that, no offense taken. I think a lot of bodybuilders are perceived to be meatheads, jock bullies, mentally ill etc and its understandable I guess since lots of people who bodybuild and take PED's commit crimes etc.

If I lost some size, would I be welcomed back into society?

That actually never crossed my mind. Damn, maybe if i can somehow get amnesia and erase my mind, i wouldn't have such stupid thoughts of not being friends with anyone, and this would not be such a huge problem
